Governor Chet Culver and his “Moving Iowa Forward” campaign were a hot item for discussion today in Siouxland as he spoke at the Convention Center. He discussed his budget and legislative priorities for 2010, providing emphasis on creating and retaining Iowa jobs, investing in our children with the Iowa education reform and keeping the state’s budget balanced for the future. Faces in the audience for his speech included Sioux City Mayor, Mike Hobart, Sioux City Community School administrators and members of the school board, as well as representatives from area colleges and news outlets.
